Supporting Development Across Ages

Childhood and adolescence are powerful windows for growth and development. At RIO Works, we provide responsive, developmentally informed, child- and teen-centered occupational therapy to support skill development and participation in everyday life. Our therapy is individualized and play-based for younger children, with age-appropriate, goal-focused approaches for school-age children and teens—meeting each client where they are and supporting meaningful progress. We believe children and teens thrive when caregivers feel confident and supported. That’s why we partner closely with families, teaching practical strategies that can be carried over into daily routines at home, school, and the community. Free Phone Consultation We learn about your concerns, your child or teen’s needs, and help determine whether occupational therapy is the right fit. 2. Evaluation A comprehensive, age-appropriate assessment of motor, sensory, and functional skills. You’ll receive a detailed report and an individualized plan of care. 3. Ongoing Therapy Engaging, individualized sessions targeting meaningful goals. Sessions typically range from 30–60 minutes and are tailored to your child or teen’s developmental stage. 4. Caregiver Involvement Caregivers are supported throughout the process to ensure skills generalize across environments and daily routines. With over 10 years of experience, she supports children and teens in building the skills they need to thrive at home, school, and in the community. A mom of two, Flor combines professional expertise with personal insight, empowering families to make skill-building practical, joyful, and effective. She holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida.
